Women’s breakfast

The Women’s Breakfast is a meeting place for women with a migration background from different cultures and religions. In an open and welcoming atmosphere, we would like to enjoy breakfast together, exchange ideas, make new contacts, and learn from one another.

In addition to sharing breakfast, we discuss various everyday topics, practice German, and strengthen our sense of community and social connection.

This program is especially aimed at women who would like more opportunities for social interaction and community involvement.

Women with young children are warmly welcome. For a limited number of children, childcare is available during breakfast time. Our childcare room, which resembles a small play paradise, is available for this purpose.

Communication Course –
Group for Refugee Women

The Communication Course is a weekly meeting for refugee women who would like to find their way and build confidence in their new living situation. Many women face language barriers, social isolation, or challenges related to their experiences of displacement and migration. This program provides a safe and welcoming space for exchange, support, and social interaction.

TIO e.V. offers the course every Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Participation is particularly suitable for women with German language skills at levels A1–A2.

The focus is on conversations about everyday life, health, work, education, and other important topics. At the same time, participants can improve their German language skills through simple conversations and practical exercises—without pressure and in a supportive atmosphere.

Childcare can be provided if needed.

Konversationskurs

This course is aimed at women who receive benefits under SGB II and who have already completed an integration course. Its main focus is professional integration. Participants receive support with writing job applications, researching employment opportunities, and, where necessary, preparing for job interviews.

This conversation-based course places a strong emphasis on speaking, discussing a wide range of topics, and improving expressive skills. The participants learn to communicate more confidently and to further develop their basic knowledge of the German language. The exchange between the participants and the instructor not only enhances language learning but also encourages the women to act independently and with greater self-confidence in everyday situations.

In addition, grammatical knowledge is refreshed and reinforced throughout the course.
